Otostick

From 3 years old
Otostick is a corrector for protruding ears made from silicon and medical adhesives. It adheres to the ear and the contiguous part of the head, providing an immediate natural effect.
Otostick is a product created based on a necessity: correct protruding ears (commonly known as “big ears”) in a simple and easy way.
An easy-to-use product that is discrete and made in comfortable, transparent silicon.
All you need to do is put it in place and you’ll see how your ears adopt a natural position.
You can use them continuously or at specific moments when, because of your hairstyle, the protrusion of your ears is more evident than normal.
When positioned correctly, you will feel no pain nor will you be aware of having them there.
Putting Otostick in the right place ensures the shelf-life of the corrector and the ear position are optimised. So, it is important to follow the instructions included.
Once suitably attached, Otostick proves resistant to water, sweat and heat.
The pack comes with 8 correctors. Recommended use: from the age of 3.

Characteristics of the Otostick

Immediate effect

Otostick is very simple to attach and the aesthetic effect is immediate.

Freedom

With Otostick you’ll have the freedom to decide how to wear your hair at any time, and your ears will no longer be the focus of attention.

Discreet

This is one of Otostick’s most important features. Because it is made from transparent silicone, it is practically invisible and no one will know you are wearing it.

Resistant

Otostick is flexible and resistant to sweat and water, meaning it can adapt to any type of activity. During the first 4 hours after attaching the corrector, you should avoid getting it wet or carrying out activities that could cause excess sweating.

How to place Otostick?

We show you how to place Otostick easily.
Remember to follow these instructions step by step to use Otostick correctly…

Placement Steps

Step 1

Clean the area carefully with an astringent (100% oil free), eliminating any dirt or moisture.

Step 2

Before removing the paper protectors, decide exactly where you will place the corrector, taking into account the shape and folds of the ear. In each case, the corrector should be positioned at a specific height in order to achieve the desired aesthetic effect.

Step 3

Remove the protective paper from the adhesive on the part stuck to the ear, be careful not to touch the adhesive with your fingers.

Step 4

Once stuck to the ear, remove the protective paper from the head portion and attach the corrective device to it, making sure that there is no hair underneath it.
Finally, gently apply pressure to the corrective device, folding the cartilage as necessary and making sure that all the edges are correctly attached.

How long should Otostick last

On average, Otostick lasts from 3 to 7 days, depending on the characteristics of your skin type.
In some cases Otostick may require a short adaptation period. This may be for two different reasons:
The characteristics of the cartilage, in particular its firmness, may require a short period to adapt to a new position.
For new users, it can take a little time to find the best position to apply Otostick.
With Otostick Baby, there are certain periods when babies present with alterations to the natural state of their skin (e.g. in the pH or lowered defences arising from temporary situations) which may temporarily reduce the time the corrector stays attached to the skin.

Recommendations

- Always attach the corrector to a flat surface, without folds. - During the first 4 hours after attaching the corrector, you should avoid getting it wet or carrying out activities that could cause excess sweating. During these 4 hours, the adhesive will attain the maximum levels of resistance required to ensure it will be able to withstand exposure to water and sweat over the coming hours and days of use.

Removal

-To remove the corrective device, first lift the edge and use a cotton swab soaked in body oil, applying it gently around the edge and leaving it on for a minute. Once the oil between the skin and the corrective device, gently insert the cotton swab and it will come off simply and easily. -Once the corrective device has been removed, remember to moisturize the area and let it rest for 12-24 hours before applying another corrective device, once again making sure not to leave behind any grease generated during the resting period.

Miscellaneous

- The most commonly used astringent product by our users is 70º alcohol. Once you have properly cleaned the skin, wait until the skin is totally dry before applying the corrective device. Once applied, any remaining moisture will reduce or eliminate the effectiveness of the adhesives. If, at your own discretion, you decide to keep the corrector attached after 7 days and let it detach by itself, make sure you check the condition of the edges every day, especially after showering or a similar activity that wets the corrector, in order to prevent water or sweat from filtering through after it has begun to detach.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions.
